Vessel Maintenance

Most vessels, require constant care while they are in water, and can be very time consuming. If you find you don’t have the time to look after your vessel, or you need it relocated, we can provide a service to cater for inspections and relocations.

Vessels not properly managed can become a real problem and liability for owners. If you find you don’t have the time, or you don’t feel confident in managing your vessel. We can organise to set the vessel up in its pen and carry out inspections. If you simply want the vessel relocated, we can arrange to truck or sail your vessel anywhere in Australia (maximum length applies).

Ropes and Splicing

We can provide new ropes and counter weights to your jetty, or modify your current setup. It is important to secure vessels adequately to prevent vessel snatching. 

 

 

Jetty Refurbishment

We can replace or add additions to your existing structure. Transform the look of  your jetty from old to new. Maintain, inspect and provide detailed reports for you to make informed decisions.

 

     

 

Public Liability

All private structures must be kept to a standard, to prevent accident or injury.

It is up to the owner to maintain the structure to ensure safety of users and compliance with regulatory authorities.

If you have sustained damage to your jetty, or is not in good condition, we can arrange to manage any problem you have, in ensuring your asset is in good working order. 

 

 

Non-Destructive Testing

If you wish to inspect the steel structure on your jetty for deterioration, we can test the thickness of the steel structures using non-destructive methods and provide you with detailed reports.

 

 

Rust removal

Most steel structures, if not treated correctly, will rust. Above the waterline is usually the worst effected area. Without proper care, the structure can become unstable or not suitable to support a vessel. Once the rust removal process is complete it is advisable to protect the steel by Denso wrapping or Painting.

 

 

Denso Wrapping

We can add protection to your steel structures, potentially adding years to the life. Denzo tape when applied will prevent corrosion on the surface of the material it is applied to. Greatly reducing rust and oxidation probems.

 

 

Painting

If you wish to enhance the look of your jetty system, we can paint your steel structures including underside bearers or oil your timber. This will achieve a newer look whilst adding protection to the structure. The improved look can potentially add value to your home.

 

Demolition

If you wish to remove your old jetty or pylons, we can assist with innovative methods to ensure your structure is completely removed allowing easy access for a new structure or to make room for a new boat.

 

High pressure cleaning

If your water frontage is looking dirty due to tidal stains or marine growth, we can pressure clean pavement and canal walls. 

 

    

 

Timber repairs

If your jetty is missing planks, no ladder or has structural damage to the wooden components. We can replace, fix or modify timber parts to provide a safe area for your family

 

   

 

Counter weight and chain installation

When mooring a vessel, it is important to have the correct counter weights.

This will ensure your vessel stays central and cuts out snatching on mooring lines and allows for tidal movement without overloading the securing points on your vessel. We can provide and install counter weights and mooring lines to suit your application.

 

 

Power and water

Power and water is a very popular addition to many private jetty structures. A power outlet is useful for many reasons such as boat lifters and to supply shore power to your vessel ensuring your batteries wont go flat and prevent the bilge pumps operating whilst moored. With water located on the jetty it makes for an easy clean up and eliminates the need for you to run the hose from the side of the house.
